Prof. Kekre has Ph.D. and M.S degrees from the University of Rochester, and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He has also a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from Xavier Labor Relations Institute, India. His corporate management experiences spanning over twenty years in several continents – the US, Europe, and Asia have given him an invaluable opportunity to practice managerial decision-making using the synergy of technology, data, and analytics. His last assignment before being a university faculty was Director of Strategy and Global Supply Chain Management at Eastman Kodak.
Prof. Kekre has taught several graduates and undergraduate level classes at various prestigious US universities – Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Rochester, and University of Pittsburgh in areas of Operations, Process Analysis, and Strategic Sourcing. His focus has always been to make teaching clear and focused and get all students engaged in the learning process. He believes firmly in the tenet that the key to being an effective teacher is first to guide students to learn how to learn.
Prof. Kekre is Chief Academic Advisor to Reagan Global Services in the areas of Online Tutoring and Test Preparation advising, mentoring, and teaching students. He is also currently the Distinguished Professor of Operations Management at the Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University, and currently advising and teaching the MBA Capstone students for a course titled Managing the Enterprise of the Future.
